I reside in Hinton, Iowa, with my wife Jan. I have two daughters, Sara and Jaclyn, both married, and three grandsons. I enjoy all types of outdoor activities including fishing, golfing, boating, and hunting, as well as building and painting.

The best piece of financial advice Rick has been given: Pay cash for luxuries, borrow for necessities, if needed, and of course, know the difference between a necessity and a luxury. Complete a financial statement every quarter and then share and discuss it with someone, such as a spouse, partner, etc.
